NOW AVAILABLE!

Book 2 of THE Tempest Rising Series

2The Frostfall has begun.

As tendrils of darkness creep across the land, leeching color and heralding death, three paths unfold.

Zodak, bearer of the last Shielder’s medallion, flees into the wilds—pursued by forces he barely understands, carrying a secret he cannot name.

Alana, Zodak’s estranged cousin, once voiceless and forgotten, finds herself drawn to the revered Sisters’ Keep. Within the ancient stone towers of the High Elder’s castle, she becomes entangled in a power struggle as the once-unshakable Sisterhood begins to fracture from within.

Daen, the Skypiercer, banished from Fortress Blackiron, must rally the scattered remnants of the Order. With the life of Ozir the dwarf, Kommandor of the Order hanging by a thread, Daen seeks to gather the last embers of an elite Order Guard before it’s extinguished forever.

Ancient forces stir. The darkness grows. But the Book of Truth has opened for a new hand, and a prophecy long buried speaks once more.

With creation itself crumbling beneath the surging Frostfall, voices in shadow whisper of a quiet hope. The few who refuse to submit may be all that stand between the world and ruin.

Throne Born

A Novella

Prequel to the Tempest Rising Trilogy

It is the age of kings. In the grand city of K’andoria, King Trimidian rules with a fair hand. The great evil sleeps.

Yet fissures have appeared across the kingdom.  Savage Crow rebels terrorize villages across Rislaan; the haughty Far-Seer Priesthood of Epis Kopol has ignited a trade war; and decay and unrest plague Uth Becca, the once glorious White City.

The ambitious governor Ryvek Flailgore rules the White City, but his ambitions know no bounds. He eyes the crown. King Trimidian must show strength yet mercy, wisdom yet resolve, ever aware that history watches his every move.

Throne Born brings the long-dormant Age of Kings to vivid life. Maneuvering, political intrigue, intense battles, and the unyielding quest for power unfold in this epic tale with nothing less than the kingdom itself hanging in the balance. As the struggle for the Crown unfolds, King Trimidian navigates treacherous waters to secure his legacy and leave his mark upon the pages of history. The path he chooses will forever mark him as savior or villain.

Follow the prequel that predates Zodak – The Last Shielder by two hundred years.

Author

Max Moyer

Max grew up roaming the streets and exploring the deep dark forests of Washington D.C. terrorizing neighborhood wild game and putting his brother Eli through various club initiations. He now resides in Oakton, VA (just outside D.C.) with his wife and four kids (lovingly referred to as the “Treehouse Gang”). The Treehouse Gang is, without a doubt, the biggest fan of his writing and creativity.

As a day (and sometimes night) job, Max runs Triumph Law, a boutique corporate law firm , where he works with amazing founders building, growing and selling inspiring companies. In the off hours (read: early in the morning before anyone else is awake or after they’re asleep), he loves getting lost in his writing.

In his (limited) free time (see above about running a law firm and raising four kids), he loves playing/swimming/skating/trampolining/fishing/skiing with the Treehouse Gang, riding his classic motorcycle, woodworking, drawing/painting, watching great movies and playing board games.
